Privacy Policy

What we collect
RepGeo collects the minimum data needed to provide the service:
- Phone numbers / area codes — entered by you for lookup. We resolve these to location data and do not store the raw numbers beyond the immediate request.
- Anonymous usage counts — a randomly generated extension ID (UID) is stored locally in your browser. We track how many lookups that ID has performed per day to enforce the free tier limit.
- Billing information — if you subscribe to Pro, your payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We receive only a customer ID and subscription status; we never see your card number.
How we use it
We use collected data solely to:
- Resolve area codes to city, state, and timezone information
- Generate AI-powered openers and CRM notes (Pro tier)
- Enforce per-day lookup limits on the free tier
- Process and manage Pro subscriptions via Stripe
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes
- We do not store personal contact records or CRM data you copy from RepGeo
- We do not track your browsing history or read page content
- We do not collect your name, email, or employer unless you choose to contact us
Third-party services
RepGeo uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions. Stripe's privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy
- Anthropic — AI text generation (Claude) for openers and CRM notes. Anthropic's privacy policy: anthropic.com/privacy. Phone lookup data sent to Anthropic is not used to train their models.
Data retention
Usage count data (tied to your anonymous UID) is retained for 30 days. Subscription status is retained while your subscription is active and for 90 days after cancellation for billing records. If you contact us by email, we retain that correspondence for up to 2 years.
You may request deletion of any data associated with your UID at any time by emailing privacy@repgeo.com.
Cookies and local storage
The RepGeo Chrome extension uses chrome.storage.session (cleared when Chrome closes) to cache lookup results within a session. We do not set browser cookies from the extension. This marketing website does not set tracking cookies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with an updated date. Continued use of RepGeo after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
